Cynthia has served on numerous committees, including the Children’s Justice League, Judicial Nominating Committee, and the Grievance Commission for the State of Iowa.
She specializes in, but is not limited to, family law, including dissolution of marriage, matters of custody, visitation, child support, and modifications of original decrees; juvenile court matters; probate; and real estate. In addition, she also handles boundary disputes and other contested legal matters. In 2020, Cynthia obtained her mediation credentials and is available to serve as a mediator in the state of Iowa. In addition, she regularly handles appeals of various types of litigation to the Iowa Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals. Cynthia also handles title opinions and closing of real estate transactions.
Cynthia is a lifelong Ottumwa native and enjoys serving her community.
